This manual contains 26 stories. It has been developped for childcare workers in Inuit communities troughout Nunavik and Canada.
The story collection includes folktales, timeless legends with a moral as well as various stories about Inuit life in the past. Each of the stories is accompanied by information and suggested activities such as games, craft ideas and songs.
About the authors
The list of collaborators having participated in the preparation of this manual is extensive: community leaders, early childhood educators, parents and other persons interested in childhood education. However, the diversity and quality of the contents owe much to the elders of the various Nunavik communities.
